Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Farm Map Android app (“Farm Map”, “the app”), made by Velocity Apps Development (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using Farm Map you agree to these Terms. Your use of Google Play, including purchases made through it, is also subject to Google Play’s terms.

1. Farm Map is a guidance aid

Guidance lines, coverage, areas, overlaps, product totals and job plans are estimates. Phone GPS is typically accurate to a few metres, and accuracy varies with sky view, terrain, trees, buildings, the device and satellite conditions; external receivers vary too. Satellite imagery may be out of date or slightly offset from the ground. Check results against what you see in the paddock.

You are responsible for product application rates, mixing and calibration, and for complying with product labels, permits, record-keeping rules and local regulations, including buffer zones and no-spray areas. Records the app produces are an aid; check them before relying on them for compliance.

2. Subscriptions

• Subscription required. Farm Map’s features require a subscription. What’s included is shown in the app before you subscribe and may change in future versions.
• Free trial. When a free trial is offered (currently 7 days with the yearly plan), it’s shown in the app before you subscribe. Unless you cancel in Google Play at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts and you’re charged the price shown.
• Price. The price and billing period are shown in Google Play before you buy, in your local currency, and may vary by country (currently US$89.99 per year or US$19.99 per month in the United States). Introductory or time-limited offers apply only as stated in the app and then renew at the regular price unless you cancel.
• Auto-renewal. Payment is charged to your Google Play account. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period at the then-current price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Cancelling. Cancel in the Google Play app: tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions › Farm Map › Cancel subscription. Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the paid period. Uninstalling the app doesn’t cancel a subscription.
• Refunds. Purchases are processed by Google Play, and refunds are handled under Google Play’s refund policy.

3. Your data

Your fields, jobs and records are stored on your phone, as described in our Privacy Policy. You’re responsible for keeping backups, using the device backup or the app’s Back up now; we can’t recover data we never receive.

4. Licence

Subject to these Terms and an active subscription where required, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Farm Map on devices you own or control. We keep all rights in the app not expressly granted to you.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the app; not to use it unlawfully or in a way that could harm others; and not to scrape or make automated or excessive requests to the map services it uses.

6. Maps and third-party services

Satellite imagery is provided by Esri and its data partners. Purchases are handled by Google Play, and subscription status by RevenueCat. These services are provided under their own terms, may vary by location, and may change or become unavailable.

7. Disclaimers

Farm Map is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don’t guarantee that guidance, coverage, area or product figures are accurate, or that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Velocity Apps Development is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of or damage to crops, product, livestock, equipment or property, missed or doubled applications, fines or lost income, arising from use of or reliance on the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for Farm Map in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions don’t allow these limits, and nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be excluded.

9. Changes and termination

We may update Farm Map and these Terms. For significant changes we’ll update the date above and let you know in the app. You can stop using Farm Map at any time by uninstalling it (and cancelling your subscription in Google Play). We may suspend access if you breach these Terms.
